An end-to-end mathematical and AI-driven study companion built for neuro-divergent students
Studious is a neurodivergent-friendly study companion that decomposes tasks, predicts academic performance, and auto-builds personalised study schedules so students (especially those with AuDHD) can finally work with their brains instead of against. By combining AI-driven task-chunking, early risk detection, and intelligent exam-focused planning, it transforms overwhelming course loads into manageable, motivating, and predictable academic success.
Problem Statement
University structures are typically designed for the neurotypical standard. However, neurodivergent students account for approximately 20% of the student population on average and, as such, are disadvantaged. The technical issue stemming from this is that neurodivergent students need a clear outline of their academic progress, personalised suggestions systems for improvement and on-demand support for strenuous assignments and activities. That is where Studious comes in.
Key Features
- Focus Engine: Records study sessions quantitatively and qualitatively, by allowing students to rate their study sessions based on focus and productivity.
- Prediction Engine: Predicts future final exam grade for each course and provides suggestions on how to improve the grade over time with Smart Nudges .
- Task Manager: Breaks assignments into microtasks and schedules them on the studet’s calendar based on their study sessions.
